Having done a bit more research I ‘think’ that the only difference is that the plus has a more prominent battery guage over the normal (so not really much of an upgrade). Apparently in ICE cars, the plus moves the analog fuel guage and engine temp into the virtual cockpit screen so that makes more sense as an upgrade.
