What is the difference between pilot sport 4 and 4S?
On wet surfaces, it’s a little bit tricky. The Pilot Sport 4 is better in aquaplaning resistance, while the Pilot Sport 4S has better numbers in wet handling and braking. All three features are essential when driving on wet roads, especially when it comes to safety.
What does the 4S mean in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S?
The ‘4S’ in PS4S does not mean it’s a four-season (all-season) tire. The PS4S is Michelin’s 4th-generation Pilot Sport UHP summer tire, carrying on the legacy of the original Pilot Sport, the Pilot Sport PS2 and the Pilot Super Sport. See all 38 photos.
Are Pilot Sport 4S loud?
Did quite a bit of homework on these. The PS4S replaced the Super Sports in 2017, with a tad bit better noise, grip and longevity upgrades. The “acoustic” version is the same PS4S tire, but adds a thin strip of styrofoam to keep it quiet. The Michelin tech I spoke to said they are virtually silent.
