Sync 2 does NOT support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, if you absolutely must have these features, you have to have Sync 3. All vehicles equipped with Sync 2 are able to be upgraded to have Sync 3, you just need to get a Sync 3 screen, APIM, hub, and hub adapter, along with a bit of AsBuilt Programming (easy!).
